Mexican Themed Menu

Sombrero flavour image for mexican eveningOur first world food night was held on the 12 June and our destination was Mexico. A packed restaurant enjoyed a themed menu expertly devised by our chef Karen.

The menu for this evening pulled together more traditional mexican dishes rather than the familiar ones catered to all tastes.

Starters…

Spicy Mexican Goujons

Chicken goujons in a spicy Mexican coating deep fried and served with a spicy tomato & onion salsa, side salad and soured cream.

Molettes

Crusty bread topped with refried beans and cheese. Served with a salad garnish, spicy tomato & onion salsa and soured cream

Spicy Mexican Prawns

Stir fried marinated king prawns served with a side salad.

Mains…

Mexican Spicy Beef Tortilla

Similar to a lasagne, spicy beef is mixed with rice and layered between tortilla’s and topped with melted cheese

Hot & Spicy Pan fried Chicken

Stir-fried marinated chicken strips served with rice and a tomato salsa

Corn Pancakes stuffed with squash

Corn pancakes filled with a medley of lightly spiced butternut squash, chicory and leeks, baked in the oven and served with rice and salad.

Sea Bass with Salsa Verde

Sea bass coated with salsa verde, baked in the oven and served with rice.
